Continuing to the next release in our singles series we travel to Denmark and are met with the swung out phase shifted grooves of Zack Christ. Having released on many eclectic labels such as one of our favorites “Origami Sound” Zack gives us a short but interesting look into some of his productions, “Iced Out” experiments with phase shifting to create a immense stereo spread, fragments of percussion and found sounds swing to their limits to creating a abstract landscape littered with pitch shifted vocals sitting in a bed of side chained synths all coming together to create one wonked out groove.
Woulg makes another definitive appearance on Enig’matik, proving to be one of the labels most consistent artist, Woulg takes elements from the original and stretches, inverts, snaps, destroys and creates a abstract glitch re-interpretation that takes the original deep into experimental territory, with his always impressive fill and edit work you can almost hear the constant cut of his editing scissors firing away at seemingly random locations which all centrifuge in the end to create a giant jigsaw puzzle of exquisite leftfield glitch production.
